Men

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."

Proverbs 27:17

The vision of the men's ministry at Benton Street Baptist Church is dedicated to equipping, empowering and deploying men in Christian service to their family, church, community and the world.

Men's Breakfast

The next Men's Breakfast is on March 11 at 9am and will be the start of a new series on How to be a Better Father. We are changing the teaching style to that of a testimony time. We begin with Joe Elliotson who will share how God's Word has shaped the way he raises his six children. Following Joe, Sig Peters will share some godly advice to fathers from his own life. Then we will open the floor to other testimonies from fathers about some of their life lessons as a father. We are looking for specific Bible verses on fathering, rather than just your own opinion. So come prepared to share.

This new series is based on chapters 5 to 8 of Every Man a Warrior - Book 2, where we learn how to "turn the hearts of fathers to their children" (Malachi 4:6). Book 2 is entitled: Marriage and Raising Children and has nine lessons that give practical help and a biblical outlook on both Marriage and Raising Children. It comes with a special emphasis on raising teenagers. These lessons have profoundly impacted the lives of men wanting to be equipped to become better fathers, including how to share the Gospel with Your Children.

The Zoom broadcast begins at 9:30 am.

Please sign up on the bulletin board.

Audio from previous breakfasts are available below.
