COVID-19 Update

Dear Benton Church Family,

The Coronavirus pandemic has continued to be an evolving situation with the Omicron variant as the most recent concern.  We are seeking to update our ministry plans in keeping with the most current information available with our desire to be supportive of the efforts of the Ontario Ministry of Health and the protocols which they have recommended.

In keeping with recent government directions intended to limit the spread of the Omicron variant in our community, beginning this Sunday, January 9, only our Sunday morning ministries will continue in-person.  Our service will begin at 9:30 with Adult Sunday School followed at 10:45 by our time of Congregational Worship.  Masking requirements, social distancing and capacity limits will be observed throughout.

Until further notice, all other gatherings for Benton ministries will move to on-line formats only.  If you would like to find out more information about our various ministries and how we are adapting during this time, please fill out the form below and we'll be happy to help.

We know these are difficult, stressful days in many ways for everyone.  We long to be together.  To return to a normal life.  Isolation from family & friends can make a cold winter day even more dreary.  Balancing on-line learning with on-line work while trying to maintain quality family time can be exhausting.   For some the challenge of finding work has never been more difficult.  From the youngest to the oldest we are all groaning under the seemingly relentless weight of these days.

How understandable that we may say “Lord, I can’t take this anymore!”  Yet in the midst of this let us be reminded that we are never abandoned, never alone, never forgotten.  Jesus hears your cry, knows your frustration, shares your hurt. Walk even closer to His side and lean on His strong arm.  Continue to trust in God’s Word and remember His call “not to be anxious about anything, but in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Phil 4:6).”

We thank the Lord for every unique ministry opportunity He gives us.  These days are full of ways to point people to Jesus.  Let’s be united in praying that we embrace every opportunity the Spirit presents to us.

Please join us in prayer for one another, for our wider community, and for those in leadership locally, provincially and nationally in these challenging days.

With joy and peace in Christ,

Your Benton Leadership Team.
